Beaver is the birthplace of two very famous individuals of the past, Philo T. Farnsworth, the inventor of television and Butch Cassidy, the notorious western outlaw.
The park includes Old Deseret village, a living history museum that recreates a typical community between 1847-1869. Structures include adobe houses, the restored Brigham Young Forest Farmhouse, shops and public buildings.
